Your Records, with Practical Controls
WorkProof stores its core workspace in a local database on your device. No WorkProof account is required, and the current app does not automatically upload your work database to a WorkProof cloud service.
New attachment files added through the protected Pay Review evidence path use authenticated AES-256-GCM encryption. Typed notes, acknowledgements, the main database, and files created through other paths are not covered by that attachment-file claim. Manual .workproof backups are password encrypted. An optional PIN and supported device biometrics can restrict access through the app.
Encryption has a defined scope. The main local database is not separately encrypted by WorkProof, and ordinary PDF, CSV, ZIP, image, invoice, receipt, and other export files may be unencrypted after creation. Store and share exported files carefully.
WorkProof may use internet connections for Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics in the reviewed Android configuration, Google Mobile Ads and consent management, app updates, store reviews, WhatsApp, and sharing through apps you select. On Android, bundled Google ML Kit barcode scanning may also send limited technical diagnostic and usage data to Google; camera input and decoded barcode values remain on the device according to Google's disclosure.
